Cut Stone Artisans

We are Artisana Stone… a fully integrated fabrication and restoration facility dedicated to cutting and carving stone for residential, commercial, institutional, and historical applications.

Three generations strong since our founding in 1985, we have grown to become one of the largest specialty carvers of limestone, marble and onyx in Canada, and in North America. Utilizing skilled artisans, proprietary fabrication techniques, high quality raw materials, advanced technology and machinery, a 30,000-ft² production facility, and a quality-focused company culture, we are able to produce cut stone works-of-art that achieve exceptional structural integrity, exacting fit and finish, flawless aesthetics, and individualized artistic expression. Each piece is designed and sculpted at our studio, by traditionally trained artisans, through the disciplined execution of both old-world carving techniques, and advanced production technologies. We can take a sketch from a client and turn it into reality… into a piece of art that is installed and showcased in their house. Some people have a hard time understanding our capabilities… how we are able to transform blocks and slabs into unique work of art, in terms of size, design, intricacy of detail, and complexity. There is a gap in terms of what people believe can be done and what we can actually do. We are proud of this capability because it does not put any limits on our customers’ imaginations.

Pushing the Boundaries of Creation with Cut Stone Fabrication

At Artisana Stone, we are always pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the fabrication of cut stone. We have positioned ourselves, through the combination of leading-edge cutting and shaping technologies, proprietary production practices and procedures, and traditional carving techniques, to create virtually anything that can be imagined. We have built everything from massive 6-foot diameter columns to intricate and finely detailed porticos and arches that rival those of the Palace of Versailles. We do this, not only for creativity’s sake, but also to maintain exceptional production quality while improving efficiencies and reducing costs.

One of the ways we have achieved our capabilities is by continually investing in our people, our process, and our technology. For example, one of our CNC machines is outfitted with the ability to scan and exactly replicate a section… and with minor adjustments, it will also fill in missing fragments in the case of a historical restoration piece. Our ongoing artisan-training program maintains traditional carving skills while also upgrading skills for advanced production processes, machinery, and technologies.
